Built alongside Elmer Racing, who supply the billet turbo and merge collectors. Every joint is back-purged with argon on both sides, so the weld penetrates properly instead of sugaring on the inside.

Manifolds are built alongside Elmer Racing, who supply the billet turbo and merge collectors. That means the part the exhaust gas actually meets is machined rather than fabricated out of bends, and the runners are built to suit it instead of the other way round.

Every joint is back-purged

Argon goes inside the pipe as well as over the weld. Without it the inside of the joint sugars: it crystallises into a rough, brittle crust that sheds into the turbo and strangles flow for as long as the manifold is on the car. You cannot see it from the outside once the manifold is fitted, which is exactly why it is worth asking any fabricator about.

With the purge, the weld penetrates the full thickness of the wall and the bore stays as smooth as the pipe either side of it.

Built to the car in front of us

Nothing here is bent to a pattern from a catalogue. The manifold is built around the engine, the turbo position and whatever room is left in the bay, on the vehicle it is going on. If you are mid-build and the turbo is not on the car yet, bring what you have and we will work out what is possible before anything is cut.
